How long does a typical oil-to-propane conversion take?
Most full conversions take 2-4 days on-site once permits are pulled. We schedule the equipment swap so you're never without heat overnight in winter.
What does it cost to convert from oil to propane?
The cost depends on the home's size, the equipment and tank it needs, whether an existing boiler can be converted, and whether the old oil tank is above ground or buried. Reusing a boiler that is in good condition may reduce the scope, while a larger home or a full equipment replacement can cost more. We assess the system first and provide a written quote for the work your home needs.
Do you remove the old oil tank?
Yes — above-ground or underground. For a buried tank, we manage the required assessment, closure or removal process, testing, and documentation with the appropriate specialists and authorities.
Will I save money switching to propane?
Operating cost depends on the home, equipment, weather, usage, fuel prices, and maintenance. We compare the full project and the practical benefits — including equipment efficiency, reliability, available space, and the appliances you want to run — so you can choose the best overall value for your household.
Can any of my existing heating equipment be reused?
Sometimes. If the existing boiler is in good condition and suitable for conversion, we may be able to retain it and convert the boiler to propane rather than replace the entire system. We inspect the boiler and venting before recommending an approach. If you also want backup power, a generator can add security during an outage; we can run its propane gas line and keep the tank supplied.
